These were soooo fun to make and I’m still making the rest of the gang. Can’t wait to show them to you! xo

Remember a while ago there was a feature — Topper Tuesdays & Whimsy Wednesdays? Well, TT’s back! Every Tuesday, stay tuned on Sweet Escapes’ Facebook page to check out new designs which will be available for purchase on their own. So you can pretty up the cupcakes you bake at home! How exciting!! ![]()
I know I am a day late but here was the design for yesterday –

Happy Wednesday, everyone
I cheated a little… I combined both Topper Tuesday and Whimsy Wednesday together… but before you judge, check out the goods–Mini donut cupcakes!

I knew that having so many different types of sprinkles will be handy one day
These donuts are so tiny… just a tad bigger than a toonie which makes them so adorable (and guilt-free)! If they had a competition against Timbits, they’d win… hands down! But I’m a little biased
Imagine teeny, tiny mini donut holes?! That’ll be my next project!
Rebecca from Rebecca Chan Weddings and Events text me this morning and asked if I was baking anything cause she needed last minute cupcake favours… I can’t think of anything cuter or unique as small gifts.
Hope these colourful cuties add a little sunshine to your day!
Just had half a fajita burrito from Chipotle… heaven! If you’ve never been there, I highly recommend it. It is absolutely delicious. All their ingredients are fresh and you can actually taste the freshness in it! They have all the ingredients I dislike, like avocados, salsa, lime-cilantro rice, onions… but somehow this place makes it work. I’m in love with guacamole now because they leave huge pieces of avocado in it along with diced onions and herbs.

I didn’t have a clue what my “topper” was going to be this week and then it hit me last night! ANGRY BIRDS!
I played it for the first time last week (I know I’m sooooo behind) and it was so much fun. I decided to pay tribute to these beloved enemies.

In other news… Sweet Escapes was featured on What’s Up Whimsy this week. I got to meet with Shannon (whom I met from crafTEAtime) and her adorable son Keaton on Friday at the kids’ section at Chapters. We sat on miniature brightly coloured chairs and felt like giants

It’s been a great week so far! Whimsy Wednesday is tomorrow…
see you then!
I had dinner at the BEST Japanese restaurant in Toronto. I’ve had tons of Japanese food before and nothing has ever impressed me… until last night. The sashimi was so fresh it melted in my mouth. Each dish was handcrafted with the very best ingredients and with such meticulous detail, you can really tell that the heart and soul of the chef went into each thing he touched. The best Japanese meal that I had (before last night) was in Hong Kong at Time Square’s WasabiSabi. It was a high-end restaurant and the food was amazing. It was extremely expensive as well! At Takara Bune, here in Toronto, you get the high-end quality without the price tag. Every dish was reasonably priced and it was SO WORTH IT! I will be dining there next week so stay tuned for a full review!
My first (Cupcake) Topper Tuesday post will pay tribute to my night at Takara Bune.
