Can you believe it’s already March?! And yet another Daring Baker’s Challenge has come and gone. I look forward to the end of each month so I can do the challenge. When I found out February’s challenge was to make Panna Cotta, I was SO excited! I couldn’t wait! And ironically, I left it until the last minute to do it.
The February 2011 Daring Bakers’ challenge was hosted by Mallory from A Sofa in the Kitchen. She chose to challenge everyone to make Panna Cotta from a Giada De Laurentiis recipe and Nestle Florentine Cookies.

From left to right: Panna Cotta with Strawberry Liqueur and Strawberry Chips, Kumquat Panna Cotta with Kumquat Slices, Panna Cotta with Grapefruit Gelee and Cranberries and Panna Cotta with Mango Sorbet and Fresh Blackberries.

These are Florentine Cookies. They have my favourite oatmeal in them
The best thing about panna cotta is that it’s so versatile. You can tell by the flavours I made that it can be paired with virtually anything. The panna cotta itself has a creamy, almost silky texture. Its subtle flavour complements well with both sweet and tart. You can tell by my panna cotta shots that I love, love, love different flavours, colours and textures in my dessert.
Have a creamy, dreamy, silky, crunchy, oatmeally rest-of-the-week
