Holiday Cookie Collection 2011

Saturday, December 17th, 2011

This post is extremely late and I do apologize! As you have noticed, I haven’t been posting as regularly as before because of my super busy schedule. I just finished a CARS-themed two-tier cake for a two-year-old’s birthday and matching cupcake and cookie favours to go along with it (and it’s 4:30am!!). I have also been busy baking tons of holiday cookies because Christmas is right around the corner! If you are not connected to my Facebook page, click the link on the sidebar to see the entire holiday cookie collection and pricing. The last day to place your order is this Wednesday!

Candy for your eyes…

     I CAN BREATHE AGAIN! :)
All my big orders are done for 2010…. *gleee!!*… so all I have are small-to-medium-sized orders left… lots of them.  But the big ones are done so I’m pretty relieved.  I can start wrapping my gifts and shop for myself… and wrap the gifts I get for myself! :)

Here are some customized packaging I did for a few clients this year.
These goodies were given out to co-workers both in a corporate setting.  I love packaging! :)

EARLY BIRD COOKIE WINNERS

Saturday, December 11th, 2010

Hi Everyone! I’ve got exciting news!
Here, written on my handy dandy post-it are the winners of the early bird cookie promotion. Yes, you read that correctly, I said winners… as in, more than one :) I decided to have a 2nd prize (5 boxes) and a 3rd prize (3 boxes) winner because I’m extremely appreciative of the turnout this year. Wow!

I put in a spreadsheet all the orders I received by date and the number of dozen of cookies in it as well. For example, if you ordered 2 two-dozen boxes, you’d receive 4 entries. Then I went to www.random.org and filled in the random number generator. For confidential reasons, I cannot post the spreadsheet as I’ll be violating some sort of client-cookie-agreement… oath… whatever! You know what I mean! :)
A BIG CONGRATULATIONS GOES OUT TO…
FIRST PLACE WINNER (10 boxes of cookies)
#31 – STEPH LIU
SECOND PLACE WINNER (5 boxes of cookies)
#107 – JANICE KAMONIN
THIRD PLACE WINNER (3 boxes of cookies)
#168 – KIM BURNS
Thanks for ordering early! It pays off to be a keener :) You will be receiving an e-mail shortly about your prize. Or if you read this post, you can send me an e-mail!
STAY TUNED for more exciting promotions coming your way…
On that note, happy weekend everyone! :)

Handmade Holiday Gifts

Saturday, December 4th, 2010

I love giving homemade cookies as gifts during the holidays because each box is filled with love and thought and care.  And thoughts are more difficult to refund or exchange :)

That’s one of the reasons why I started my holiday cookie line. People are so stressed out during the holiday season buying presents and entertaining guests that they lose sight of what Christmas is all about.

This year, why not give your loved ones a box of gourmet cookies?

For nut lovers… cranberry pistachio shortbread.
For coffee addicts… espresso chocolate delights.
For those who are super nutty… toffee nut bars.
For the old-fashioned… cranberry oatmeal.
For the South Americans… alfajores.
For kids… M+M sugar cookies.
For those who like good deals… the two-dozen holiday gift pack.
See? There’s something for everyone on your list! :)

Cranberry Oatmeal Cookies

Wednesday, November 17th, 2010

It’s been a busy few days for me, baking up a storm and handing out samples to virtually everyone I meet.  But that’s nothing from the ordinary.  I decided to bake every other day to give myself a little break.  Tonight, I took a mix latin dance class and it was exhausting but loads of fun.  It was the only hour out of this month that I did not think of cookies or packaging or orders and it felt good to clear my mind so I can approach my next batch of baking rejuvenated and refreshed.  Although the class was “latin”, I’m not sure if what I was doing was remotely latin… I felt like I was auditioning for a spot in the Lion King musical and failing miserably! :p

Cranberry Oatmeal Cookies

Perfect for oatmeal lovers.  Do I really need to describe this cookie?  It’s my all-time favourite cookie :)

Wrapped in a clear box with a ribbon and a bow with a mini Sweet Escapes holiday card.
OR… if ordering 2 dozen, it is wrapped in a chocolate brown box with Sweet Escapes’ signature pink ribbon and white organza ribbon.

Christmas Cookies II

Hi Everyone!
Welcome to the second edition of Christmas Cookies :)

Peppermint Chocolate Bark

A creamy white chocolate and candy cane topping perfectly contrasts its milky counterpart.  Inspired by President’s Choice’s chocolate-overed frozen cheesecake truffles with a crushed candy cane topping.

Cranberry Pistachio Shortbread
$6/box (dozen)

This citrus-scented shortbread is the poster cookie of the holiday season with its festive specks of red cranberry and green pistachios. The sugar crystals give these cookies a twinkle and a big crunch. If anything this season screams, “Happy Holidays!”… it’s this one here! :)

Packaging
Wrapped in a clear box with ribbon and a bow with a mini Sweet Escapes holiday card

Lemon Cognac Shortbread

This crumbly, melt-in-your-mouth shortbread is true to its name. With a hint of lemon and Cognac, there is two dozen in every box because it is that addictive!

I’d like to introduce to you the first edition of “Christmas Cookies 2010″… Toffee Nut Bars!
